Lloyd Carr, Michigan Sports Hall of Famer and Retired Football Coach of U of M to speak at NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner


The NAACP Western Wayne County Branch will host their 2011 NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner in Livonia, MI.  Keynote Speaker is Lloyd Carr, Master of Ceremony is John Mason.


CANTON, MI, October 7, 2011 – The NAACP Western Wayne County Branch will host their 2011 NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner, on Sunday, October 23, 2011, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Seating will begin at 3:00 p.m.) at Burton Manor Banquet and Conference Center, 27777 Schoolcraft Rd, Livonia, MI 48150.

NAACP Western Wayne Branch is pleased to announce that Mr. Lloyd Carr, Michigan Sports Hall of Famer and Retired Football Coach of the University of Michigan is the Keynote Speaker.  Master of Ceremony is Mr. John Mason, Radio Personality of Mason in the Morning and the Detroit Pistons Basketball Announcer.  Entertainment will be provided by the Detroit Youth Choir and Performing Arts Company (DYC). 

The theme for this year is:  Building Our Future on the Foundation of Our Past

A portion of the proceeds raised will be used to fund scholarships for deserving Western Wayne County 2011-2012, graduating Senior High School students.
